Both Crewe and Newport will look to bounce back to winning ways when they face off in their League Two Matchday 20 tie at Gresty Road on Friday night.
Crewe suffered a 3-0 defeat to Barnsley in their second round of the FA Cup fixture last Saturday. The defeat was a setback, but they will not kick themselves over it as they are still in the FA Trophy.
They will look to shift their focus back to League Two where they left off a 1-0 win over Swindon, with Daniel Agyei getting on the scoresheet.
They have had a patchy campaign in League Two this season, but they have put together a good batch lately and will look to keep the momentum going on Friday. They have won all their last three home matches in all competitions and should be confident in this fixture.
Meanwhile Newport are out of both the FA Trophy and the FA Cup competitions, with the side suffering defeats to MK Dons (3-1) in the FA Trophy and Derby County (2-1) in the Cup.
They have also been having a disappointing campaign in League Two this season, having collected 19 points from 19 games and currently sit 18th in the league standings.
They beat Gillingham 2-0 in their previous league fixture though and will look to draw confidence from that as they look to put their cup disappointments behind them.
