Algeria vs Mali Match Analysis & Prediction

16/11/2022 10:30 pm

Algeria and Mali will clash in the first two international friendlies on Wednesday in three days. The teams have been drawn from this year’s World Cup, so they will be looking to use the matches as a warm-up for next summer’s tournament.
Algeria defeated a tough opponent in Syria on Sunday, emerging victorious 1-0. Houssem Mrezigue scored the sole goal of the match in the 70th minute; that was enough for Djamel Belmadi’s men to get the job done in what turned out to be a tight affair.
As a result, Algeria has emerged victorious in their last 11 matches, while they are yet to taste defeat in 13 outings overall.
The Fennec Foxes will have next up an opposition outfit with four losses in the most recent five meetings between the teams, the most recent of which was a 4-0 demolition.
Malian football fans will be hoping their team can bounce back from a heavy defeat by Algeria, after which they fell to a 4-0 loss on October 29.
The hosts went in front just shy of the half-hour mark, but further goals from Abderrahmane Meziane, Aymen Mahious, and Akram Djahnit sealed the deal.
Mali’s last defeat was against Tunisia on November 11, where they lost 1-0 in their first-leg World Cup qualifying match. Now The Eagles are looking for a victory before their African Nations Championship campaign starts in January.
Algeria vs. Mali Head to head
