Both Paris Saint-Germain and Club Brugge will be looking to bounce back to winnings ways in the Champions League when they round off their group stage fixtures at Parc des Princes on Tuesday night with kickoff at 20:45.
Despite entering their last match already guaranteed a second-place finish in Group A, Paris Saint-Germain have not hit their maximum expectations this campaign especially with the arrival of the likes of Messi, Ramos, Hakimi, Donnarumma and Wijnaldum rising the levels of expectation in the Parc des Princes faithfuls. Les Parisiens have recorded two wins, two draws and a defeat in their five Gup A matches, collecting eight points that have them sitting in the four points behind Manchester City at the summit of the group.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side head into the match on back of a 2-1 defeat to Manchester City at Etihad, with Raheem Sterling neutralizing Kylian Mbappe’s opener before Gabriel Jesus condemned them to second-place finish, which means a potentially more difficult knockout tie.
PSG head enter the match in a poor form having just won one of their last four matches across all competitions and are coming off back-to-back draws to Nice and Lens in their domestic campaign. However, the hosts are in good home form as they have not lost in their last 10 matches at Parc des Princes claiming nine wins in the run. Therefore they will be looking to build on their home record as aim at finishing the group stage in a style gaining their confidence back in the process.
Meanwhile Club Brugge have experienced a tough champions League campaign this season, winning one, drawing one and losing three of their five matches in Group A to collect four point that have left them occupying the bottom spot in the group standings, but level on point with RB Brugge in the fourth.
Brugge head into the match off the back of a 5-0 thumping at home against RB Leipzig in their last Group A outing, with Christopher Nkunku and Emil Forsberg putting two past them while Andre Silva also got in on the act.
Philippe Clément’s side however, responded well their Champions League humiliation with three consecutive wins in the Belgian First Division A and Beker van Belgie and will be looking to build on the run as they aim at going out in style.
