Real Madrid will look to take another step towards the La Liga title when they travel to Estadio El Sadar to take on Osasuna in their matchday 33 fixture on Wednesday night with kickoff at 22:30.
Osasuna are coming off a 2-1 away win against Valencia in La Liga last Saturday, with second half goals from Ezequiel Avila and Ante Budimir sealing back-to-back victories in La Liga for Jagoba Arrasate’s side.
They have now won four of their last six league matches a run that has seen them move into the top-half of the table, and now sit ninth on 44 points from 32 matches, five points above the 11th-placed Celta Vigo and nine points adrift of European places.
With six matches remaining to go Osasuna have time to reduce that gap between them and sixth-placed Real Sociedad but that will need them to put in more efforts and maintain their winning momentum.
Meanwhile Real Madrid are coming off a 3-2 away win over Sevilla in la Liga last Sunday. The victory saw them bounce back from their 3-2 defeat to Chelsea in the Champions League, but it extended their winning streak to three matches in la Liga.
They continue to lead La Liga with now 15 points in clear on the chasing park consisting of Barcelona, Sevilla and Atletico Madrid, who are all level on 60 points, although Barcelona have played one match less than the two and Real Madrid.
With six matches remaining, there is no way Los Blancos are going to relinquish their lead and with their recent La Liga form and away form they will fancy their chances against Osasuna on Wednesday. Also, Real Madrid will look to build their confidence ahead of the first-leg of their Champions League semi-final tie against Manchester City on 26th at Etihad.
