Osasuna will be hosting Cadiz at the Estadio El Sadar on Sunday, as the visitors will be aiming to move out of the La Liga relegation zone.
Cadiz are currently 19th in the table, two points from the safety of 17th position, while Osasuna are 14th, having 22 points from their opening 19 matches of the 2021-22 campaign.
Osasuna were defeated 1-0 by Girona in the Copa del Rey on Thursday, which made it three straight losses in all competitions, including their last two in La Liga against Getafe and Athletic Bilbao.
They have not been victorious in the league since the middle of October, and their disappointing run of form has seen them slip down the table into 14th position.
Osasuna recorded a 3-2 victory over Cadiz when the pair last met in the reverse match earlier this season, while they also won 3-2 at Estadio El Sadar last season.
Meanwhile, Cadiz have picked up just 14 points from their opening 19 matches of the season, which has left them sitting 19th in the table, two points behind 17th-placed Elche.
Cadiz were impressive on their return to the top flight last season, finishing 12th, but they have found it difficult during the 2021-22 campaign and are currently involved in a relegation battle.
Alvaro Cervera’s side were victorious in the Copa del Rey on Thursday, progressing to the last-16 stage of the competition through a 1-0 success over Fuenlabrada, with Tomas Alarcon scoring a late winner.
However, Cadiz have not won in La Liga since the start of November, losing four of their last six, including a 1-0 defeat to Sevilla at home last time out.
Cervera’s team have the worst home record in La Liga this season but have picked up nine points from their nine away games, the 12th-best record in the division.
