Monza vs Spezia Match Analysis and Prediction

Monza will be looking to make it three wins on the bounce In Serie A when they host Spezia at the Stadio Brianteo in their Matchday Nine tie on Sunday.

After a difficult start to life in Serie A that saw them lose all their opening five matches, Monza have managed to overturn their fortunes but it needed a change in the management of the club from the board.

Silvio Berlusconi decision to sack Giovanni Stroppa and replace him with Raffaele Palladino seems to have been the right decision at the moment, as Palladino has seen the side get their campaign off with now two victories.

Monza claimed a shocking 1-0 win over victory, which was then followed up with a dominant 3-0 win over a struggling Sampdoria last time out. They have now gone unbeaten in their last three league matches and as such they have climbed to 16^th place in the league standings. They will be looking to use the good atmosphere at the Brianteo to extend their resurgence in the league.

Spezia, meanwhile, extended their inconsistency this season last time out as they were left red-faced after a 4-0 defeat at Lazio. They have now won two, drawn two and lost four of their eight matches and sit 12^th in the league table, just one point above Monza and three points outside the relegation zone.

Their last weekend’s defeat at Lazio meant that thy have lost all their four away matches this season and with the risk of dropping to really low positions of the table with a defeat on Saturday, Spezia will be desperate to halt their away disappointments at the Stadio Brianteo. But with Monza’s resurgence it will be hard for Spezia to come away with all three points.
