Both Monaco and Ferencvaros will be looking to go top of Group H of the EUFA Europa League when they face off at Stade Louis II in their second group round on Thursday.
Both sides opened the Europa League group campaign on the front foot with Monaco claiming a 1-0 win at Red Star Belgrade last week, while Ferencvaros claimed a 3-2 win over Trabzonspor at home. They now both sit at the top of Group H joint on three points and similar goal-difference.
Therefore whoever wins on Thursday will go three points at the top of the group and thus both sides will go in guns blazing for all points. The two are coming off confidence boosting victories on the weekend with Monaco beating Lyon 2-1 at home in French Ligue 1, while Ferencvaros edged Kisvarda FC 3-0 at home in their Hungarian NB I.
The victories extended the sides impressive forms recently as Monaco have now win all their last three across all competitions, while Ferencvaros have won all their last five in all competition. Therefore, both sides will keen to extend the runs on Thursday, but on paper the French outfits have a much stronger squad and should fancy their chances on Thursday.
