Mallorca will welcome Getafe to the Iberostar Stadium for their La Liga clash on Saturday evening, looking to bounce back from defeat earlier in the week.
The hosts are unbeaten in all their last three league games at home, while Getafe are yet to win on the road this season.
Mallorca added on to their winless run to six matches when they bowed to a 3-1 defeat away at the hands of Rayo Vallecano on Monday.
The Pirates are still seeking their first victory since October 2, but having picked up four points from four draws in the matches before their most recent defeat, they are just four points above relegation zone in position 13.
Luis Garcia’s side have almost entirely relied on the home form to collect points so far this season. 10 of their 15 points have been accured at the Iberostar Stadium, losing just one of their seven matches on home turf.
However, Mallorca have lost all their last four matches against Getafe on the home ground, conceding 9 goals in the process. So, Saturday’s game could proof to be a tough one for the Pirates, especially with Getafe’s upturn in form.
After collecting only two points from their opening 10 La Liga matches, Getafe have since amassed seven points from a possible 12 available, moving them from the bottom of the table.
Getafe got their second successive home victory last weekend when they beat Cadiz 4-0, with goals from Jorge Cuenca, Mathias Olivera, Enes Unal and Jaime Mata.
The Azulones remain in the relegation zone but the are two points adrift 17th-placed Granada who are hanging above the bottom three by goal difference.
Including results from last season, Getafe are winless in each of their last 10 games on the road in the league, failing to score on eight occasions in the process.
