Luton Town will try to get their first win of the season when they host Preston North End in the Championship on Saturday at the Kenilworth Road with kickoff at 5 pm.
Luton Town has made a slow start to the 2022-23 campaign. After losing in the semi-finals of the playoffs the last term, the Hatters have drawn their first two matches this season.
The team opened with a goalless draw at home against Birmingham City before drawing 1-1 on the road against Burnley last weekend. Luton had hoped they were on their way to a win in midweek when Carlos Mendes Gomes and Tom Lockyer gave their side a 2-1 lead against Newport County in the second round of the EFL Cup.
However, goals from Chanwa Zimba and James Waite led to another early exit from that tournament for the club.
While Preston has also started their Championship campaign with consecutive draws, they did so in different circumstances. Unlike the Terriers, both of Preston’s matches ended goallessly. They failed to find the net in their opening two league matches but responded emphatically in midweek by beating Huddersfield Town 4-1 in the EFL Cup.
Troy Parrott scored first after just three minutes, and Ali McCann scored twice before halftime to give them a 3-0 lead that was never in doubt.

Luton is likely to be without two of their key players, as injuries to Louie Watson and Fred Onyedinma have made them unavailable for the game.
