Levante vs Valencia Match Analysis and prediction

Two Spanish outfits will be back to action on Monday, when Valencia will be travelling to take on Levante in the Valencia derby.

Valencia are currently sitting 7th in La Liga, picking up 25 points from their opening 17 matches, while Levante sit last in the league table, having not won in the league this season.

Levante have failed to get victory in La Liga since defeating Eibar on April 10, and they are having eight draws and nine defeats from 17 matches.

They are already seven points behind 17th-placed Alaves and are heading into Monday’s game off the back of a 4-3 defeat at Espanyol last time out.

Levante have not been in any relagation struggle since their return to the league in 2017, but it seems they will be fighting to remain in the league this season.

Granotes will be the underdogs in the Monday’s derby, but they recorded a 1-0 victory in the reverse game between the two sides during the 2020-21 season.

As for Valencia, they have won 14, drawn eight and lost eight of their 30 previous La Liga matches against Levante, with all eight of the defeat coming on the road.

Valencia will enter this match being unbeaten in their last eight matches in all competitions and have won in each of their last four.

They defeated Utrillas and Arenteiro in the Copa del Rey this month, and defeated Celta Vigo and Elche in their last two league matches.

Valencia have collected 25 points so far, and are just four points adrift fourth-placed Atletico Madrid.

Los Ches finished 13th in La Liga last season, which was their worst season since they took 14th position in 1987-88, but another victory here would strengthen claims of the club’s capability of finishing in the top six this season.

Prediction and Odds

The hosts have recently shown some improvement under their new manager, and they could want to take advantage of Valencia missing some key players.

Valencia will be playing away to a team that wants to avoid relagation which may proof a hard game for them. So, we predict a draw or an away win.
