Leicester City will be looking to make it back-to-back Premier League wins on the bounce when they welcome a struggling Leeds United to King Power for the early kickoff of Matchday 28 on Saturday afternoon.
Leicester City have experienced a tough campaign this season and have hardly been a top-four challenging team this term, with a total of 30 points from 24 matches leaving them in down in 12th spot in the standings, 17 points off the top-four and nine above the relegation zone.
However, the Foxes head into the Saturday’s clash in high spirits following a confidence-boosting 2-0 victory over Burnley at Turf Moor last Tuesday night. Substitutes James Maddison and Jamie Vardy made the difference to secure the eighth victory for Brendan Rodgers’ side this season.
The win ended their five match winless run in the top-flight while it was their third victory in their last four matches across all competitions and they will be looking to extend their form as they aim at breaking in the top half.
Meanwhile Leeds will be starting a new era Jesse Marsch who replaced Marcelo Bielsa who was let go by Leeds after a poor run in the Premier League which includes defeats in their last four consecutive top-flight matches; a run that saw them concede 17 goals while scoring just two.
Marsch will be aware of the size of the task at Elland Road as the Whites currently just two places and two points above the drop zone. They are one point above the 17th placed Everton, who have two matches in hand, while the Whites have played one match more than Burnley who sit in the last relegation spot.
The side has also recorded one of the worst away records in the Premier League this season, collecting just 10 points from 13 matches, while have conceded a worrying 35 goals on the road in 2021-22. They will be looking to change that here as they hope for a new manager bounce.
