The currently sit 19th on 12 points one above the rock-bottom Burnley, who have three games in hand over them and are two adrift of safety.
They head into the match off a heartbreaking 1-1 draw with fellow relegation battlers Watford as Joao Pedro denied the Magpies the crucial three points with his late equalizer to force a share of the spoils. The draw marked their second successive draw in the top-flight as they were coming off another 1-1 draw against Man United.
Eddie Howe’s side is desperate to escape the relegation zone and will be in for the points here as anything than a win will compound their misery and Howe will be hoping that his side’s away form gets better as they travel to Elland Road.
