Cremonese will still be searching for their first Serie A win this season when they travel to Via del Mare to take on Lecce in their Matchday Eight tie on Sunday evening.
Both sides are newly-promoted to the Italian top flight this season and have both found difficult in the league so far. Lecce have lost three, drawn three and won one in their opening seven matches and currently sit 15th on six points, two points above the relegation zone.
Cremonese meanwhile remain winless in their opening seven matches, drawing two and losing five in the process. They currently sit 19th, level on two points with rock-bottom Sampdoria and are three points off safety.
Therefore, Lecce will be looking for their second victory of the campaign on Sunday as they seek to climb further of the relegation zone, while Cremonese will see this as their chance to get their opening victory and finally get their campaign off and running. Also three points on Sunday could see Cremonese climb out of the relegation zone – something they will desperate for this weekend.
However of the two, Lecce will fancy their chances as they will have a home advantage and they also recorded their opening victory last time out and thus they have the momentum and confidence as they have not lost to Cremonese in their last five encounters at Via del Mare.
