Las Palmas will welcome Tenerife to Gran Canaria for the second leg of their Segunda Division Promotion Playoffs semifinal tie on Saturday night with kickoff at 22:00.
The first leg ended in a 1-0 win in favor of Tenerife and they now head into the second leg with a crucial advantage as now any draw is enough to see them advance to the final. However, they hoped for a bigger margin at home in that match, but got the lone-goal which exposes them to uncertainties in the second leg at away.
Tete are in a good aw3ay form though having lost just one of their last six on the road matches, claiming four victories in the run and they will be looking to build on that as they seek to grab a ticket to the final. It’s an uphill battle but it’s possible.
Meanwhile Las Palmas are highly motivated to return to the top tier and will not cheaply cede this opportunity. However, they will have to do that form behind as they head into the match with a deficit of a 1-0 defeat.
But at home they will endeavor to overturn the narrow deficit as they have been in a good home form recently, winning all their last four matches at Gran Canaria. Therefore they will be looking to extend that run on Saturday as they eye a return to the top flight, although they will need at their best to get the better out of Tenerife here.
