Both Hull City and Stoke City will be looking to put an end to their three-match winless runs in the Championship when they lock horns at the MKM Stadium in an important league fixture on Sunday afternoon with kickoff at 15:00.
Despite displaying encouraging performances, Hull City have made a disappointing campaign this season with the club claiming just six wins from their 24 league matches, drawing five while suffering 13 defeats in the process. They currently are just four points above the relegation zone in the 19th.
Hull head into the match in a poor form having won none of their last five matches across all competitions, suffering three defeats while picking up two draws in the run and are coming off a 3-2 defeat To Everton at home in the FA Cup last Saturday.
Prior to the FA Cup exit the Tigers were off back-to-back defeats in the Championship and had gone four matches in the division without a win. They will therefore be looking to bounce back to winning ways in the Sunday clash as they desperately attempt to get themselves out of the relegation battle.
Meanwhile Stoke City made a fine start to the campaign this season with the club appearing to challenge for the direct promotions spots at some point. However, the Potters have lost all momentum recently with the side recording seven defeats in their last 13 matches, which has seen them drop out of the promotion places.
As things stand they are five points outside the top six and cannot afford any more slip-ups on the back of successive home defeats to Derby County and Preston North End. Although, they will be looking to build on their 2-0 win in the FA Cup against Leyton Orient and Michael O’Neill will hope that his side can take confidence from the victory to get past Hull in the match that they need all three points to stay in touch with the promotion places.
