Hearts and Hibernian will trade tackles in the first semi-final of the Scottish Cup at Hampden Park on Saturday afternoon with kickoff at 14:15 EAT.
The two sides met last weekend in a match that Hibernian were under pressure to claiming all points to finish the first phase of the campaign in the top-half. However, they were crashed to a damaging 3-1 defeat and now they sit seventh in the bottom-half going into the final phase, while Hearts cemented their third spot in the top half with the victory.
Both now shift their focus to the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup and Hibs pressure has intensified with occasion as the Scottish Cup still gives a chance to salvage their season. However, Hearts also will want to win the cup to add to their impressive campaign back in the top-flight.
A winner here though still has much to do clinch the trophy as they will either face Celtic or Rangers in the final. Nonetheless, both Hearts and Hibs will want to make it to the final and the Jambos will very well fancy their chances against Hibernian as they head into the match in a good form having won five and drawn two of their last seven matches across all competitions.
Also, Hearts are unbeaten against Hibernian in their last five meetings, claiming three victories in the run – including the 3-1 victory last weekend.
