Both Granada and Cadiz will be looking to bounce back to winning ways when they lock horns at the Estado Nuevo Los Carmenes in the final tie of La Liga Matchday 26 on Monday night with kickoff at 23:00.
Granada have made a disappointing campaign this season and were left empty-handed in their last La Liga encounter as they fell to a humiliating 4-1 defeat at hands of Villarreal at home last Saturday. The result extended their winless run in La Liga to seven matches now while increasing their losing streak to four matches in the process.
The poor run has seen Roberto Moreno’s side drop into the 17th spot in the standings with 24 points collected form 25 matches and are now just three points above the relegation zone. Therefore, the Andalusian side will be looking to bounce back to winning ways as they battle to save their campaign.
Meanwhile Cadiz are also battling to salvage their season as the club currency sit 19th in the relegation zone on 20 points from 25 matches and are some four points adrift of safety. Manager Sergio would have wished for maximum points in their previous La Liga encounter against Getafe, but had to settle for a share of spoils following a 1-1 draw at home last weekend.
Cadiz have now failed to win their last three La Liga matches picking up back-to-back draws while suffering one defeat in the process. As a result Cadiz continues to sit in the drop zone and the gap between themselves and the rock-bottom Levante has closed to just two points now.
The two sides played out a 1-1 draw in the reverse fixture earlier this season but Cadiz claimed a 1-0 win in the corresponding fixture last term and will be desperate for a similar result in this tie as they look to survive La Liga.
