Forest Green Rovers will be hosting Colchester United on Tuesday night, aiming to further strengthen their place at the top of the League Two table.

The hosts are currently seven points clear of the second-placed Tranmere Rovers with a game in hand, while Colchester are 22nd, having collected 22 points from their 21 league matches this season.

Forest Green finished 6th in League Two last season to secure a spot in the playoffs, but they lost to Newport County in the semi-finals, and hence they are playing in the fourth tier again this season.

However, they are now in a good position to challenge for a spot in League One for next season, having collected 48 points from their opening 22 matches of the season to sit at the top of League Two table.
