Feyenoord will welcome Marseille to the Netherlands on Thursday for the first leg of their Europa Conference League semi-final.
The hosts saw off Slavia Prague to advance to the final four, while Marseille overcame Greek outfit PAOK on their way to progress to the semi-final.
After sailing through their Europa Conference League group -finishing top with an unbeaten record and 14 points – Feyenoord advanced to the round of 16, and they continued their dominant run, defeating Partizan 8-3 over two legs.
That secured a quarter-final tie with Slavia Prague, who they beat to a first-placed finish in the group, and a dramatic home leg ended 3-3 in Rotterdam.
De Stadionclub then made the difficult trip to the Czech capital, and a cyriel Dessers brace and a Luis Sinisterra goal ensured they left with a 3-1 victory and advance with an aggregate victory.
Feyenoord now head into the semi-final off the back of a league victory over FC Utrecht on Sunday, as the game seemed to end goalless until Sinisterra scored a 96th-minute winner.
However, Arne Slot’s side now face a tough test, as Marseille also arrive at the Stadion Feijenoord in strong form and with their focus set on the final, as they also find themselves in an impressive run of form in the domestic league action.
After a third-placed finish in their Europa League group, Jorge Sampaoli’s side dropped into the playoff round for Europa Conference League, and they breezed past Qarabag before defeating Basel with a pair of 2-1 wins in the round of 16.
Marseille then met PAOK in the quarter-finals, and they took a 2-1 lead into the away leg, courtesy of goals from Gerson and Dimitri Payet, before Payet scored the only goal of the second game to secure his side’s spot in the final four.
Feyenoord vs Marseille head to head

Feyenoord news
Feyenoord have several injury issues to deal with, as Jens Toornstra, Guus Til, Alireza Jahanbakhsh and first-choice goalkeeper Justin Bijlow are all sidelined.
Key centre-back Marcos Senesi is also expected to miss out after picking up a knock recently, although Cyriel Dessers and Bryan Linssen will battle to lead the line.
Marseille news
Marseille are set to be without centre-back Leonardo Balerdi due to an injury, while Cengiz Under is set to remain out of action and Luis Henrique is ineligible as he is not registered for the Europa Conference League.
Bamba Dieng has returned to contention alongside key midfielders Gerson and Boubacar Kamara.
Prediction and Odds
The two sides enter the contest with similar levels of quality, and given the nature of a first-leg affair, we expect a thigh contest with neither side risking a heavy defeat.
Marseille are in rich vein of form, but with both posing the ability to punish their opponents, we predict a draw.
