Vicente Moreno’s side were promoted to Spanish top flight las season, and have enjoyed an impressive campaign for the most part in La Liga, consistently finding themselves in and around the top half until the end of last year.
However, Espanyol has since taken a sharp dip, as they have now picked up just 13 points from 15 league games since the turn of the year, with their most recent victory coming against Celta Vigo in mid-April.

They then had to take on Real Madrid at home and lost 3-1, despite Ante Budimir restoring parity early in the game, as Asensio restored the visitors’ advantage and Lucas Vazquez secured the win with a 96th-minute goal.
Osasuna travelled to Elche last time out looking to bounce back from that defeat, and Budimir’s goal seemed to have made the difference, but Pere Milla levelled in the 84th minute to settle for a draw.
