The two teams that look to make the playoffs in the Championship will lock horns on Tuesday evening, as Coventry City welcomes Luton Town for an important game with kickoff at 11 pm.
This season, Coventry City has collected 51 points from 34 Championship matches, positioning them in the 11th spot in the table. They are only four points off sixth-placed Middlesbrough and could qualify for the playoffs this term.
However, they suffered a 3-1 defeat at Swansea City on Saturday afternoon before drawing 1-1 at Preston North End. Coventry entered three home matches in quick succession against Luton, Sheffield United, and Hull City before taking on Derby County on March 19.
Luton haven’t defeated Coventry in the league since October 2017, but Luton beat Coventry 5-0 when the two clubs played for the reverse match earlier this season.
Luton Town will enter Tuesday’s match, having suffered a 3-2 loss to Middlesbrough on Saturday, with Harry Cornick’s 96th-minute goal being a late consolation effort.
In the FA Cup last week, Nathan Jones’s side put up an excellent showing against Chelsea but still suffered a 3-2 defeat just days after beating Southampton 3-1 at St Mary’s Stadium.
Luton currently has 54 points from 34 matches, having won 10, drawn 11, and lost 13 of their league fixtures to date this season.
