Celta Vigo will square off against Getafe in their La Liga Matchday 33 clash at Estadio de Balaidois in what is expected to be an interesting game on Wednesday night with kickoff at 21:00.
Celta Vigo have made an inconsistent campaign this season with the side recording 10 wins, nine draws and 13 defeats from their 32 matches to collect 39 points, which have left them sitting mid-table in the 11th, level on points with 12th-placed Espanyol and two points outside the top-half.
They head into the match in good mood having claimed a 2-0 away win over Athletic Bilbao last Sunday in La Liga. The victory saw them bounce back from a four-match winless run in the top-tier and they will be looking to build on the victory as they aim at breaking into the top-half of the table.
Celta have not lost to Getafe in their last four meetings and claimed a 3-0 victory at away in the reverse fixture earlier this season, and thus should be confident of recording another positive result on Wednesday.
Getafe, on the other hand, have struggled this season with the side managing to claim only 32 points from their 32 games and are currently very much still in a relegation battle as they only sit three points and three places above the drop zone.
They head into the match in a poor form that has seen them suffer back-to-back defeats in La Liga to Villarreal and Real Madrid while have won just one of their last five league matches, which is not good for their survival.
With five matches remaining Getafe need to bounce back to winning ways as soon a possible to increase their chances of survival and they simply cannot afford another slip-up on Wednesday as that could leave them in the relegation zone. However, their on the road form is really poor having failed to win any of their last nine away matches, which will be a big concern for Quique heading into the fixture.
