Celta Vigo vs Getafe Match Analysis and Prediction

Celta Vigo will be looking to put an end to their three-game losing streak when they host Getafe at Estadio Municipal de Balaidos on Monday.

While the hosts head into the contest off the back of a 4-1 defeat to Real Valladolid, their visitors played out a 2-2 draw with Athletic Bilbao last time out.

Following three straight defeats in La Liga, Celta Vigo have dropped down to 14th place in the table, now just two points outside of the relegation zone.

The Sky Blues made an encouraging start to the campaign, picking up seven points from their first four matches, but they have since lost five of their last six league matches, which is concerning form even at this relatively early stage of the season.

Since defeating Real Betis 1-0 at home at the start of the month, Eduardo Coudet’s side have lost to Barcelona, Real Sociedad and Real Valladolid, with the latter defeating them 4-1 on Wednesday.

Celta Vigo will face Getafe, Almeria, Osasuna and Rayo Vallecano in their final matches before the season breaks for the World Cup, and it would not be a surprise to see them sitting around mid-table by the time the campaign comes to a halt.

Getafe have also found it difficult in the early stages of the campaign, only winning two of their 10 games, collecting nine points to leave them in 17th place in the table.

The Deep Blue Ones are without a win in La Liga since the middle of September, losing consecutive home matches to Real Valladolid and Real Madrid earlier this month.

Meanwhile, they have drawn their last two games, sharing the points at Rayo Vallecano before holding Athletic Bilbao to a 2-2 draw during the week, with Munir El Haddadi scoring a 76th-minute goal to earn a point for the hosts.
