In hopes of ending a three-game losing streak in the Championship and rebounding from a South Wales derby defeat, Cardiff City will host Rotherham United on Saturday with kickoff at 5 pm.
Cardiff City was slow out of the blocks this season, and their manager Steve Morison paid the price.
Mark Hudson has taken over in a caretaker role and has made a good start, though, with two wins on the bounce against Blackburn Rovers and Wigan Athletic to get them up to second place in the table.
However, they have since lost three straight matches, including an embarrassing defeat at home to Coventry City, where they shipped three goals without a reply.
This is before being hammered by Queens Park Rangers, who ran riot as Lyndon Dykes bagged a brace and Kenneth Paal scored a third after Jack Simpson was sent off early on.
After two recent relegations to League One, long-serving manager Paul Warne made a strong start at the helm of Rotherham United, picking up 14 points from nine games before leaving to become the manager at Derby County.
Upon his departure, Matt Taylor took over. He oversaw a draw and a defeat before they secured their first home win of the season against Huddersfield Town – thanks to goals from Georgie Kelly and Conor Washington – then followed it up with another away win at Stoke City.

Cardiff City Team News
Callum Robinson will be suspended for Cardiff City’s next match against Swansea so that Mark Harris may lead the line from the outset in a 4-3-3 setup. The likes of Sheyi Ojo, Kion Etete, and Callum O’Dowda are also battling to feature in the front line. Rubin Colwill remains sidelined by an injury.
Rotherham Team News
Rotherham United forward Chiedozie Ogbene remains sidelined by an injury, as does defender Peter Kioso. This means that Georgie Kelly and Conor Washington could start in attack again, although Tom Eaves will also be fighting to come back in from the outset after being reduced to a substitute appearance last time out.
