Sevilla have now picked up 10 points from their last four league games, defeating Villarreal, Athletic Bilbao and Atletico before sharing points with Barcelona before the winter break.

With Real Madrid’s recent from being inconsistent, Los Nervionenses will stay in touch if they continue to pick up more wins, while Lopetegui’s side have also progressed in the Copa del Rey, securing a third-roung tie against Real Zaragoza on January 6.
