Cadiz vs Granada Match Analysis and Prediction

Cadiz will be hosting Granada at Estadio Nuevo Mirandilla on Monday, with the visitors looking to make successive wins in La Liga for the first time this season.

Granada are heading into the match off the back of a 2-1 victory over Alaves last time out, moving them to 15th in the table, while 18th-placed Cadiz lost 3-1 to Elche.

Cadiz had put up a good performance on their return to La Liga last season, claiming the 12th spot in the table and ten points clear of the relegation zone.

However, The Pirates have failed to show consistency in the opening months of this season, having collected 12 points from 16 matches leaving them 18th on the table.

With a victory on Monday, Cadiz would move to level on points with Granada, but Alvaro Cervera’s side have lost each of their last three matches in the league to Getafe, Atletico Madrid and Elche.

On the negative, Cadiz have the worst defensive record in La Liga this season, conceding 30 times in their 16 matches, while they have scored just 14 goals, and with the look of events it appears they will be involved in a relagation battle in La Liga this season.

Meanwhile, Granada finished seventh and ninth in their last two La Liga campaigns, and it would be fair saying that they were not picked out as a potential relegation candidate at the beginning of this season.

However, they have had a difficult start in the 2021-22 campaign, having recorded three wins, six draws and six defeats from 15 matches, collecting 15 points.

Although, they managed to win against Alaves on December 3 at Estadio Nuevo Los Carmenes.

The last two encounters between Cadiz and Granada last season were closely contested, with a 1-1 draw in Andalusia and a 1-0 win for Cadiz at home ground.

Prediction and Odds

Cadiz have recently been struggling to keep a good form in the league, which makes them vulnarable in this clash. However, they are capable of fighting back against Granada.

Granada have recently shown some improvement, which will make this game a closely contested one. So we expect less goals and a draw in this match.
