Both Cadiz and Getafe will be looking to return to winning ways when they lock horns at the Estadio Ramon de Carranza for the 25th round of La Liga on Saturday night with kickoff at 20:30.
Cadiz have made a poor campaign this season with the club only claiming three wins from their 24 matches, while picking up 10 draws and suffering 11 defeats in the process and they currently sit in the 19th spot on 19 points with five points above the bottom side Levante and five points adrift of safety.
Los Piratas head into the match in a poor form having won just one of their last five matches across all competitions and coming of 0-0 draw against Celta Vigo in their previous Spanish top-flight match. Prior to the draw Sergio’s side were coming off a 2-1 defeat to Mallorca at away.
The hosts will therefore be looking to bounce back to winning ways as they aim at salvaging their season, although they are in a poor home form having won none of their 12 home matches this season, claiming seven draws while suffering five defeats and thus will need to start picking up victories in front of their fans if they are going to save their campaign.
Meanwhile Getafe have also made a poor campaign this season with the club recording six wins, seven draws and 11 defeats from their 24 matches to collect 25 points which have left them sitting in the 16th spot with five points above the relegation zone.
They head into the match off the back of a 4-3 defeat to Atletico Madrid at away in their previous La Liga outing. The defeat saw a three-match unbeaten run put to an end and the Getafe will be desperate to immediately return to winning ways as the three-match unbeaten run had seen them climb out of the drop zone climbing above both Alaves and Granada.
They sit three points behind the 13th-placed Espanyol, meaning a win could potencially leave them sitting as high as the 13th and thus we expect Quique’s side to head into the match guns blazing for the three points. They will draw confidence from their 4-0 thumping of their opponents earlier this season in the reserve fixture and will want to match the results here.
