After struggling to record a win in their last three Premier League games, Burnley looks to upset also struggling Watford this week. The match is scheduled for Wednesday at Turf Moor, kickoff at 10:30 pm.
The Clarets showed resilience last time out, managing to share the spoils with West Ham, whereas the Hornets went down two goals to one against Brentford.
Despite holding a mere 41% possession and facing a total of 16 shots from West Ham, Burnley was able to earn a point in their draw against the Champions League hopefuls.
Ben Mee and Nick Pope both starred on the day as the Clarets claimed a very respectable 0-0 draw with David Moyes’s side, but that point has done very little to drag them out of danger—their winless and scoreless run is ongoing.
The Clarets are only two points behind their upcoming opponents, Watford, who played fewer games. But they remain on just one win for the season and have now gone five without victory, drawing four of them and not scoring in each of their last three.
While Watford’s attack has been in fine fettle this season, the Hornets have failed to keep a clean sheet in any of their 16 Premier League games, so Burnley’s misfiring attack would pick no better time to return to scoring ways.
