Bristol City will be looking to return to wining ways when they welcome Nottingham Forest to Ashton Gate on Tuesday for their 13th Championship fixture with kickoff at 21:45.
Despite posting a perfectly balanced record this campaign, Bristol City have made a rather inconsistent start to their 2021-22 season as they have posted four wins, four draws and four defeats in their opening 12 matches, collecting 16 points that have left them in the 11th spot in the standings.
Nigel Pearson’s side continued their poor home form when they suffered a 2-0 defeat to leaders Bournemouth last weekend making it 16 successive matches without a win on their home turf where they have already drawn four and suffered two defeats this season.
However, the Robins continue to possess the second-best away record in the league and have collected 12 points from their away matches this season but will have to end their poor home run if they are to stand a chance of the top six finish, and Pearson may see the benefit in going out all guns blazing to repel opponents who are brimming with confidence.
Nottingham Forest made a poor start to their 2021-22 Championship campaign as they went winless with just one draw in their opening seven matches, collecting just one point that left the sitting at the bottom of the Championship table.
However, Nottingham Forest managed to bounce back from their poor form as they have now recorded a five-match unbeaten run under the new management of Steve Copper. Steve Copper’s side continued they impressive form with a 2-1 win over Blackpool on Saturday, a win that left them in the sixth position with 14 points on the board.
