Wembley Stadium will host yet another exciting and interesting match as Brentford face Swansea City in the English Championship playoffs final this Saturday with kickoff at 17:00.
English Championship playoffs final is one of the great occasions in the season and often referred to as the ‘rich football’ and the presence of fans at Wembley will make no less tense in London.
Brentford head into the finals after a dramatic comeback of 3-1 win over a ten-man Bournemouth in the semifinals last weekend. Bournemouth were leading with a 1-0 from the first leg and also went ahead in the second leg before they imploded and Bees took the advantage to salvage the win and will surely boost their confidence in the finals.
Swansea City on the other hand qualified for the final by drawing 1-1 at home against Barnsley after a 0-1 win in the first leg. Swansea City will be looking to revenge after they were knocked out of the last season’s playoff by Brentford in the semifinals.
Both teams are desperate for a win in as Brentford haven’t been in the Premier League since 1947 and have the worst record in the English Championship playoffs as they have lost nine finals in this tournament. Therefore, they will be desperate for a promotion this time.
Meanwhile Swansea City were in the Premier League for seven seasons before they were relegated three years ago and have always been desperate for a return ever since and playing against Brentford in the finals gives them the chance for the promotion they have been longing for.
