Blackburn Rovers play host to Millwall on Saturday afternoon, hoping an away win could move the club up into Championship playoff contention with kickoff at 5 pm.
Jon Dahl Tomasson will not regard Blackburn’s start to the season as positive, given that his side has won only three of their first 10 matches.
However, the team sits seventh in the table and are three points adrift of third place, a position many would regard as a success for such an inexperienced squad.
The legendary Dane will be disappointed with how his side conceded two goals in nine minutes during their 2-0 defeat at Luton Town just before the international break. That setback was particularly damaging because it came four days after Rovers had beaten Watford convincingly.
Nevertheless, there are more positives than negatives to take from their first 10 games of the season.
Millwall has not been faring any better than their hosts, suffering four defeats in their last six Championship matches.
The Lions have won two of the last three, though, beating Cardiff City and Blackpool at home. Gary Rowett’s side had earned 13 points at The Den this season—all but one of their total—while they had only managed to draw on the road against Swansea City when their opponents scored two own goals in added-on time.

Blackburn Rovers Team News
Tomasson will probably make a couple of changes to his Blackburn XI, with George Hirst pushing for a starting spot up front. Callum Brittain should return at right wing-back, and Sammie Szmodics could find a place in the side after recovering from a concussion.
Millwall Team News
Although Rowett could have Shaun Hutchinson and Mason Bennett to select from, he may be happy to stick with the same team that edged out Blackpool. That would mean Jake Cooper and George Honeyman retaining their places in the Millwall XI.
