Belarus and Azerbaijan will be looking to return to winning ways as they face off in an international friendly match this Wednesday at Dinamo National Olympic Stadium in Minsk with kickoff at 19:00.
Both sides head into the match with no European commitments and will just be experimenting on their best line-ups as they try to improve their FIFA world rankings.
Belarus failed to qualify for Euro 2020 as they were knockout of the playoffs semi-finals by Georgia and they head into the match off the back of 8-0 defeat to Belgium.
Azerbaijan on the other hand have not had a good time and it will be particularly tough for them as they host the Euro 2021 that they won’t participate in because they failed to qualify. Azerbaijan heads into the match off a poor form of nine winless run with a four-match losing streak and have conceded seven goals and scored four goals in that streak. Hence, Azerbaijan are desperate to return to winning ways as they head into the match.
Belarus vs Azerbaijan head to head
Belarus and Azerbaijan have met three times with both teams winning once against each other. Azerbaijan triumphed with a 1-0 over Belarus in the 2001 friendly match and Belarus revenged recently with a 0-1 away in 2018. Take a look at their past results.
