Barrow will be hosting Salford City for a League Two on Wednesday with the visitors looking to bounce back after their six-game unbeaten run came to an end on Sunday following a 2-0 defeat in the FA Cup.
Meanwhile, the hosts have not won in their last five away fixtures, leaving them four points clear of the relagation zone at the 20th spot.
Despite being winless in their previous five fixtures, Barrow can take encouragement from a goalless draw away to Ipswich which earned them a replay in the FA Cup.
Barrow will be hoping that the draw can push them forward, aiming to end a nine-game winless league run.
However, Mark Cooper may be encouraged with a point on Wednesday as his side enter the midweek fixture off the back of three successive league defeats.
Barrow manager’s concern will be his side’s failure to scoring goals, having witness his team going without scoring in their last five games in all competitions.
Three points on Wednesday would constitute their first home victory in League Two since a 2-1 win over Newport County on September 24.
Meanwhile, Salford’s impressive run of results came to an end at the weekend, when they suffered a 2-0 defeat against Chesterfield, a defeat that saw their FA Cup journey come to a halt.
The Ammies are now to turn their attention back to the league, and on Wednesday they will seek to extend their unbeaten run in the league to five matches.
Their impressive form has seen them climb to 11th in the table, but that run has to continue if they are to close their six-point gap to the playoffs.
Four points from their last two outings suggests they are on the right direction, and a victory on Wednesday would give them consecutive away victries for the first time this season.
