Currently sitting in the 21st spot in League Two, Barrow will be hosting Salford City at Holker Street, who are currently 10th.
After picking up a decisive 2-0 away victory against Colchester, Barrow would have entered the weekend contest with Mansfield Town in a floating mood.
However, that confidence met a setback inside the first minute, as Rhys Oates opened the scoring for Mansfield, but to Barrow’s luck they hit back through James Jones.
Despite leveling the game, Barrow were not able to prevent Jordan Bowery and Steven McLaughlin for scoring, which forced them down to a disappointing 3-1 defeat.
Although Barrow currently occupy a lowly position in League Two, they have a seven point margin above the relegation zone, but having won only two games in their previuos 15 league matches, there may be some concern that they could still be drawn into a relegation battle.
The Bluebirds have scored only six goals in their last 10 league matches, and Cooper will want his side to improve in the final third if they are to move away from danger.
Meanwhile, Salford’s hopes of reaching the playoffs were hurt at the weekend, when they suffered a huge 3-0 defeat at home to Colchester.
Gary Bowyer’s side need to find some form of consistency, if they are to close the gap to the playoff places, and they will be aiming to start a run of positive results on Tuesday, when they try to hold on to their third consecutive victory over Barrow.
Three victories from their previous five outings also provides the visitors hope, especially as they kept three clean sheets in all of those wins.
If Salford are to win on Tuesday, then their best form may be seen early in the match, with nine of their 14 away league goals coming in first half.
