Barcelona will be looking to move them level on points with second-placed Sevilla in the La Liga table when the two teams have an encounter at Camp Nou on Sunday.
The hosts are currently third in La Liga, three points behind their opponents, who have seen their title hopes fade in recent weeks by winning just one of their last five in the league.
Blaugrana have certainly had their problems this season, but the team appear to be firmly heading in the right direction once again under Xavi, who has made hge changes since his arrival as head coach.
Xavi’s side entered the international break off the back of a 4-0 victory over Real Madrid at El Clasico, and Barcelona now have Sevilla in their sights, but Real Madrid are still 12 points ahead of them at the top of the table.
Barcelona have won each of their last five matches in the league, while they are unbeaten in La Liga since the start of December, which has allowed them to move into the top four.
Meanwhile, Sevilla were knocked out of the Europa League by West Ham United in the middle of March, while they have seen their title hopes fade away in recent weeks.
Los Nervionenses have only won two of their last nine matches in the league, recording seven draws during that run, which has seen them fall nine points behind league leaders Real Madrid.
Sevilla have only lost two of their 15 league away matches this season, boasting the fifth-best record on the road in the league in 2021-22.
They are no longer in the title race and will be feeling the pressure from the two teams directly behind them and have also started to suffer a number of injury problems at the worst possible stage of the season.

Barcelona news
Barcelona have been boosted by the returns of Samuel Umtiti and Ansu Fati to training following long spells on the sidelines, but they are still not available for selection.
Ousmane Dembele’s recent form has been excellent and should feature alongside Aubameyang and Ferran Torres in the final third of the field.
Sevilla news
Fernando, Yassine Bounou, Rafa Mir, Marcos Acuna, Thomas Delaney, Suso, Alejandro Gomez and Karim Rekik are all sidelined through injury.
Meanwhile, Youssef En-Nesyri could get the nod at centre-forward, with Anthony Martial potentially moving out to the left, while Munir El Haddadi could possibly line up in number 10 position.
Prediction and Odds
Despite not losing so often, Sevilla enter the contest missing some key players and we find it difficult to back them to pick a positive result on Sunday.
Barcelona are currently on the roll and with the confidence within their camp, they are likely to pick up another victory here.
