Albania vs Poland Match Analysis and Prediction

Albania and Poland will battle for the second spot of Group I of the UEFA World Cup qualifiers at the Qemal Stafa in Tirana on Tuesday with kickoff at 21:45.

Albania have had a solid campaign so far as they have registered five wins and two deafeats in their seven games collecting 15 points that have left them in the second sport, four points behind top placed England and only one point above third-placed Poland.

Albania head into the match off the back of hard fought 1-0 win over Hungary who have lost their touch since their impressive Euro 2020 campaign in the group of death. Albania used that to their advantage to boost their qualification bid and the win marked their third win in a row in Group I and one more win could increase their chances of sealing their playoffs position.

However, Edoardo Reja’s side tend to struggle against top sides in Europe as they were beaten 4-1 by Poland in the reverse fixture while they also lost 2-0 to England with a 3-1 defeat to Czech Republic also in the mix. Although there is much at stake in this match and will be fascinating to see how a determined Albania performs.

Meanwhile Poland have also been strong in the qualifying campaign claiming four wins, two draws and a defeat in their seven matches to collect 14 points, which have left them in the third place and as mentioned early only a point behind their second-placed Tuesday hosts.

The Poles had a disappointing Euro 2020 campaign and couldn’t make it out of the group stages following the 3-2 defeat to Sweden but they found away to get over it recording a four-match unbeaten run on the bounce with three wins and a draw that has seen them give a good chase in the race for the second place.

Paulo Sousa’s side have their attack to thank for that run as their have registered upto 24 goals in their seven matches and are leading goal-scorers in the group. However, Sousa’s side have problems at the back as they have only managed to keep one clean sheet in their last five qualifying matches
