Wuhan Yangtze will take on Cangzhou Mighty Lions at the Dongxihu Sports Centre on Thursday, with the two teams separated by just two points and one place in the Chinese Super League standings.
The visitors head into the midweek contest fresh off the back of a victory over league leaders Wuhan Three Towns and will be looking to build on that result.
Wuhan were left handed for the third game in a row as they suffered a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Changchun Yatai when the side met last Saturday.

Wuhan have picked up five wins, two draws and lost 10 of their 17 matches this season to collect 17 points and sit 14th in the Super League standings, a place and two points above their upcoming opponents.
Meanwhile, Cangzhou Mighty Lions returned to winning ways in fashion when they beat first-placed Wuhan Three Towns 4-3 at the Wuhan Sports Centre Stadium last weekend.
Summer signing Jose Kante turned in a performance if the highest quality as he scored all four goals to condemn the league leaders to their first defeat of the season.
Svetozar Sapuric’s side were previously on a run of five consecutive matches without a win, collecting two points from a possible 15 since their 2-0 home win over Guangzhou FC on August 7.
While Cangzhou Mighty Lions will be looking to build on last weekend’s victory, next up for them is the tough task of facing Wuhan at the Dongxihu Sports Centre, where they have failed to win any of their last four visits since May 2017.
