Wrexham will look to extend their winning streak to four matches on the bounce across all competitions when they welcome Maidenhead United to Racecourse Ground in North Wales for an important National League encounter on Saturday evening with kickoff at 18:00.
Wrexham have been on an upward trajectory in the division since the club was purchased by Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney through RR McReynolds Company LLC back in November last year and their goal has been to move the team through the ranks of English Football, which is a possibility as they currently sit in a playoff spot with just three points off the summit of the table.
The Red Dragons head into the match in a good form having only lost two of their last 13 league matches and have won in six of their last seven matches across all competitions and they are coming off a 1-0 win against Grimsby at home last Tuesday.
Parkinson’s side are also in a good home form having lost none of their last four matches across all competitions winning in all occasions and outscoring their opponents 12-1 in the run. They will want to keep form going into the clash as they aim at climbing further up the table.
Meanwhile Maidenhead United have made an inconsistent campaign in the National League this season with the side recording seven wins, four draws and 12 defeats from their 23 matches to collect 25 points which have left them sitting in the 20th place with nine points outside relegation zone and just two points behind the 15th-placed Aldershot Town, who have two matches more.
They head into the off the back of a 3-0 defeat to league leaders Stockport in their previous league outing at away last Tuesday. The defeat ended their four-match unbeaten run in the tier claiming three wins and a raw in the run.
Alan Devonshire’s side will therefore be looking to bounce back as they at climbing up the table with a win on Saturday potentially leaving them in the 15th position and will be looking to complete a double on their hosts as they won 3-2 in the reverse fixture.
However, they are in a poor away form having won none of their last 10 matches on the road a run they will want to end.
