Wrexham vs. Halifax Match Analysis and Prediction

Wrexham will face a tough challenge when they host Halifax Town at the Racecourse Ground in the National League on Tuesday, with kickoff at 9:45 pm.

Wrexham drew 1-1 away at Boreham Wood on Saturday, which ensured they stayed in second place in the National League standings.

Danny Newton opened the scoring for Boreham Wood 30 minutes into the game, and Aaron Hayden equalised early in the second half to ensure that the spoils were shared.

A 1-0 away defeat at fellow title-chasers Notts County at the start of October is the only defeat in 11 league games for Phil Parkinson’s side, putting a great run together at the beginning of the season.

Indeed, Wrexham is currently the top scorer in the National League with 39 goals scored this season, five more than any other team have managed so far.

Halifax is currently sitting in 18th place in the League Two table, just three points above the relegation zone. It was always going to be a difficult ask for the Yorkshire club to make another push for the playoffs.

However, things got off to a very poor start, picking up just one point in their first five games. In contrast to their opponents, goals have been a real issue for the side now managed by Chris Millington.

Wrexham Team News

Paul Mullin and Ollie Palmer are set to start up front for Wrexham, who have not lost in the league this season. Rob Lainton, Reece Hall-Johnson, and Harry Lennon have not yet featured this season, but they have all returned to full training and could get some minutes on Tuesday night.

Halifax Team News

Defender Tom Clarke could return to the squad against Wrexham after recovering from flu-like symptoms, but head coach Graham Westley will be reluctant to drop centre-back Jesse Debrah in favour of the captain.

Prediction and Odds

Wrexham has a brilliant recent record against Halifax and boasts a formidable attack, so the Shaymen’s backline could struggle to keep them out.
