A resurgent Wolverhampton Wanderers will be looking to return to winning ways when Burnley visit the Molineux Stadium on Wednesday night for Premier League week 14 fixtures with kickoff at 22:44.
Both sides faced hard times in the beginning of the 2021/22 Premier League season, with Wolverhampton wanders registering four defeats in their opening five matches picking up just a win in the run, while Burnley recorded a tally of nine matches without a win picking up three draws and six defeats in the process.
However, both sides have been on resurgent forms lately as Wolves have come out triumphant in five of their last eight league matches drawing in in two while suffering just one in the process. They upward form has seen them rise in to sixth position in the standings, where they sit on 20 points with just three points behind the fifth and fourth-placed Arsenal and West Ham. Meanwhile, Burnley have now recorded a four match unbeaten run bagging a win and three draws in the run. They currently sit in the 19th spot on nine points; with just three points behind the 17th-placed Leeds but Burnley have a game in hand.
The two head into the match off the back draws with Bruno Lage’s side being held to 0-0 draw at Norwich on Saturday while Sean Dyche’s side held the formidable Crystal Palace to a 3-3 draws at Turf Moore on November 20th.
Therefore, both sides will be looking to return to winning ways in the Wednesday’s contest with the hosts aiming for the three points that could take them to the top five, while the visitors will be aiming for a win that would take them out of the relegation zone, making this a really tough fixture on the day.
