Both West Ham and Manchester United will be looking co continue their unbeaten runs in the new Premier League campaign when they lock horns in this entertaining clash at the London Stadium on Sunday with kickoff at 16:00.
West Ham United were impressive last season as they punched above their weight finishing in the sixth position with only two points from the top four spots and have made a strong start to the new Premier League campaign claiming two wins and two draws from their opening four matches, which leaves them in the eighth position with eight points but only two adrift of the table toppers Manchester United.
The hammers opened the season with impressive back to back wins over Newcastle united and Leicester City before they were also held to back to back draws against Crystal Palace at home and Southampton at away. Now David Moyes’ side head into the match off the back of a strong 2-0 victory against Dinamo Zagreb at away in the Europa League group stage opener.
West Ham head into the match in an excellent form as they have not lost in any of their last six matches and Moyes will be expecting that his side will confident as they prepare to face Manchester United twice in quick succession.
Meanwhile Manchester United have also made a strong start to the campaign recording 10 points in their four opening matches with three wins and a draw and sit at top of the league standings, which is an improvement for the Cristiano Ronaldo inspired Red Devils who were number 15 with six points a year ago.
Ronaldo opened with two goals in his second Man United debut in the 4-1 win over Newcastle United at Old Trafford last weekend, however, despite opening the scores last Tuesday in the Champions League Ronaldo was forced to see his side succumb to stunning 2-1 defeat to Young Boys who were just over the top in that clash.
However, Ole Solskjaer’s side head into the match in a strong form as their have only lost one of their last six matches across all competitions and they also poise a good head to head record against their Sunday’s opponents who they have beaten in their last three matches in a row.
