Watford host Swansea City Wednesday night looking to build on their 4-0 victory over Stoke City in Slaven Bilic’s opening game in charge with kickoff at 9:45 pm.
The Watford board would have felt that a win away at Stoke City would quickly end any lingering talk about their decision to release Rob Edwards last week.
The fixture at the bet365 Stadium couldn’t have gone any better for the Pozzo family as Watford recorded a superb 4-0 success over a Potters side who had previously kept two clean sheets in succession.
Even without Joao Pedro in the side, the Hornets ran riot with four of their most talented attacking players all getting on the scoresheet, most notably Ismaila Sarr on his return from injury.
Beating Swansea, who are currently in eighth place in the Championship table, is far from a foregone conclusion.
Russell Martin has finally started to get some positive results out of his talented squad, however, and he collected 10 points from a possible 15 over the weekend with a 3-2 win at West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.
Despite being 2-1 down with 20 minutes remaining, Swansea rallied and benefitted from a missed penalty to prevail by a 3-2 scoreline, Michael Obafemi netting the winner in the 89th minute.

Watford Team News
It is not likely that Slaven Bilic will make any changes to his starting XI, barring any fitness concerns arising from the win over Stoke. Although substitutes Vakoun Issouf Bayo and Imran Louza made impacts in the match, they are likely to play a role among the substitutes on Saturday.
Swansea Team News
The Brazilian could also play if he recovers from a calf injury. Olivier Ntcham should start for Swansea, as he did against West Bromwich Albion at the weekend, after contributing a goal and an assist off the bench.
