Both Watford and Manchester United will be looking bounce back when they lock horns at Vicarage Road on Saturday evening in the 12th Premier League round with kickoff at 18:00.
Watford have made a slow campaign back to the Premier League as they have only managed three wins in their 11 league matches so far and have picked up a draw while suffered seven defeats in the process and they now sit just a place and two points outside the relegation zone.
Things haven’t be going well for Watford under the new management of Claudio Ranieri who replaced Xisco Munoz in October as they have only managed one win in their last four matches under Ranieri. He began his reign at Watford with a 5-0 home defeat to Liverpool before the impressive 5-2 thrashing of Everton at Goodison Park where they came twice from behind to cruise to their emphatic win of the season so far.
However, the Hornets have since suffered back-to-back 1-0 defeats to Southampton and Arsenal in their recent league matches and therefore, they will be looking to bounce back on Saturday as they aim at staying out of the relegation zone.
Meanwhile, Manchester United have made a slow and inconsistent campaign this season as they have recorded five wins, two draws and four defeats in their 11 matches, collecting 17 points which have left them occupying the sixth spot in the standings and are already nine points behind Premier League leaders Chelsea.
The Red Devils were torn apart by Liverpool last month and they were humbled in a similar way once again by Manchester City before the international break. It is the derby defeat that saw them drop to the sixth spot in the league standings with the defeat also marking their third loss in their last four Premier League matches.
Therefore, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be under a lot of pressure to claim a positive result in this match as he may have survived the international break but rumours abound over the Norwegian’s future, with Brendan Rodgers tipped to be a contender for any potential vacancy at Old Trafford which might be investable if Manchester loses on the weekend.
