Vitoria de Guimaraes will be looking to extend their unbeaten run in the Primeira Liga to five matches when they welcome Boavista to Estadio Dom Afonso Henriques on Sunday.
The hosts progressed to the fourth round of the Taca de Portugal with a victory at Canelas 2010, but their visitors were not as fortunate in the cup, being knocked out by fourth-tier Machico.
It has been an enjoyable few weeks for Vitoria Guimaraes supporters, who have seen their club pick up two wins and two draws in their four league matches, including the victory over Pacos Ferreira two weeks ago.
Vitoria Guimaraes picked up 14 points from their first nine matches and sit three points behind fourth in the table, recovering from three straight defeats towards the end of August.
Moreno’s side have had their problems in front of goal, with only the bottom four scoring fewer than them, but they have been defensively solid with only Casa Pia and Benfica conceding fewer.
Meanwhile, Boavista kicked off the campaign well, but they have faltered in recent weeks to find themselves without a win in their last two league matches.
Firstly, they were dominated by Famalicao in a 4-0 defeat before being held to a 1-1 draw with bottom-placed Maritimo in their last league match.
Petit’s side followed that up with the humiliating 1-0 defeat at Machico in the Taca de Portugal last weekend, which was the fourth time this season they have failed to score in a game.
Boavista find themselves in sixth place in the league standings, just outside of the European spots, and are just three points behind third-placed Braga, although with a vastly inferior goal difference.
They have conceded the most goals among teams in the top half of the table and have only managed to keep two clean sheets this season.

Vitoria Guimaraes could be without a number of key players, including Andre Silva and Thomas Handel, alongside Jorge Fernandes who is still recovering from a muscle problem.

Boavista news
Boavista are still without Miguel Reisinho, and they will have to make do without him for a little while after the midfielder suffered a severe knee injury back in August.

Prediction and Odds
Vitoria Guimaraes enter the contest unbeaten in their last four league matches, and will fancy their chances of picking up a positive result on home turf on Sunday.
However, both teams have proven this year that they are good, but neither scores all too often, leading us to predict a draw.
