AC Milan will look to take another step closer to the Scudetto when they travel to Stadio Marcantonio Bentegodi to take on Verona in their Serie A matchday 36 tie on Sunday night with kickoff at 21:45 EAT.
AC Milan have made an impressive campaign this season and currently sit at the top of the Serie A with two points above city rivals Inter Milan with three matches still remaining to go. All Rossoneri need to do is win all their remaining games and the Scudetto will be theirs this season.
They head into the match in a good mood having won all their last three league matches against Genoa (2-0), Lazio (1-2) and Fiorentina (1-0). They have also not lost to Verona in their last six Serie A games, claiming four victories in the run – including a 3-2 victory in the reverse fixture earlier this term. Milan should therefore be confident of claiming all three points.
Verona though, are not to be taken lightly as they head into the match in a good mood having won two and drawn one of their last three Serie a matches and are coming off a 2-1 win over relegation fighting Cagliari.
They currently sit ninth on 52 points from 35 games and will want to finish in the top half when the campaign ends. They pose a risky opponent for Milan but the league leaders should have enough quality to squeeze a win here.
