Napoli will be looking to extend their three-match winning streak in Serie A on the bounce when they travel to Stadio Pierluigi Penzo to take on a struggling Venezia in an important league fixture for both sides on Sunday evening with kickoff at 17:00.
Napoli have been on and off through the campaign, but Luciano Spalletti’s side have done well to stay in touch with both Inter and Milan in the title race. Since their 1-0 defeat to Spezia Napoli have been on an upward trajectory in the league as they have not lost any of their four top-tier matches ever since, claiming three wins and a draw in the process.

Also the run has seen them reduce the gap between them and the leaders Inter to within four points now, but the champions have a game in hand.
The Partenopei will therefore be looking to keep the ball rolling in the Sunday’s win as they aim at maintain their place in the title chase, making the fixture an important outing for the visitors who will fancy their chances as they already won against their opponents in the reverse fixture.
Meanwhile Venezia have experienced a tough welcome back to the Serie A with side claiming just four victories from their 22 matches, picking up six draws while suffering 12 defeats in the process and they currently sit just a place and a point above the relegation zone in the 17th on 18 points..
Their struggle for form continued last time out when they fell to a 2-1 defeat to Inter Milan at away prior to the international break. The defeat marked their sixth match without a victory across all competitions, picking up two draws while suffering four defeats in the run.
Venezia will therefore give their all to avoid defeat in this match and will be more desperate for the three points as they want to save their season which is starting to appear doomed. Although, they are coming up against a much more motivated Napoli who also need the three points and thus will be fascinating to see how this one plays out.
