Valencia and Villarreal are set to start the preparations for the 2021-22 La Liga campaign when they face off in their first friendly match this Friday at the Oliva Nova Beach and Golf Resort with kickoff at 19:00.

This will the first friendly match for both sides with Valencia planning to have five friendlies before the kickoff of La Liga in mid-August whereas Villarreal have planned to have two friendlies before meeting up with Chelsea in UEFA Super Cup match on August 11th.

Valencia will head into the friendly off the back of a 0-0 draw against Huesca in a La Liga match back in May.
