Ukraine will welcome Armenia to LKS Municipal Stadium for their next UEFA Nations League encounter on Saturday night. Ukraine will be playing their second Group B1 fixture, while this will be the third fixture for Armenia in the group.
Ukraine opened their 2022-23 Nations League campaign positively with a narrow 1-0 win over Ireland at away on Wednesday. The victory saw Oleksandr Petrakov’s side bounce back from their World Cup heartbreak, where they suffered 1-0 defeat to Wales in their qualifying playoff final last Sunday.
They will now be looking to pick another victory on Saturday as they hope for promotion to League A next season. Ukraine sit second in Group 1 of League B, level on three points with Scotland at the top and Armenia in third, although the latter have played one match more.
Armenia opened their campaign last week on a positive note with a hard fought 1-0 win over Ireland, before they were brought back down to earth with a 2-0 defeat to Scotland in their second fixture on Wednesday.
They have now lost five of their last seven games across all competitions, conceding 21 times while scoring just three times in return. They have also failed to win against Ukraine in their last four meetings, suffering two defeats and we are backing the Ukrainians to extend the run on Saturday.
