Udinese will be looking to extend their recent upturn in form with the final victory of 2021 when they welcome bottom-placed Salernitana to the Dacia Arena on Tuesday.

The hosts Udinese are heading into this game sitting 14th in the table, having picked up 20 points from their 18 matches.

The White and Blacks put up an impressive performance on Saturday, which confirmed the transformation of a previously weak Udinese side since assistant coach Gabriele Cioffi took charge from Luca Gotti.

The victory came just days after a midweek Coppa Italia victory over Serie B side Crotone by the same scoreline, which prooved enough that the interim Gabriele Cioffi should take charge until the season’s end.

Udinese have had two wins and eight goals unconceded , which has set them up perfectly for a meeting opponents who are struggling.

Salernitana have struggled from a bad result to another, amid speculations that they could be demoted to the amateur leagues due to an unresolved ownership issue.
