On Saturday, Udinese, and Salernitana—two sides beaten on the season’s opening day—will attempt to post their first Serie A point of the new campaign with kickoff at 7:30 pm.
Last week, Udinese defeated FeralpiSalo in the Coppa Italia but lost to Milan in Serie A. After Rodrigo Becao scored early for Udinese, it appeared that Andrea Sottil had gotten off to a great start with his new team, having already advanced in the cup.
However, keeping Milan at bay is more difficult than beating FeralpiSalo, and even though Adam Masina equalised for Udinese at halftime, Udinese eventually lost to an even better side.
The Fruilani finished 12th last term and remain a selling side, content to stay clear of relegation without threatening the European places. The club has managed to keep Destiny Udogie at the club for one more year, though they have made some intriguing signings in the transfer window.
Salernitana is on a three-match unbeaten run in Serie A, having overcome Frosinone at home last time. The Salerno side defied the odds to survive relegation in May, having narrowly avoided expulsion from the league due to ownership issues just a few months earlier. They will now be looking to build on their strong start by securing a third straight season among Italy’s top flight.

Udinese Team News
Andrea Sottil will have Destiny Udogie back in his squad on Saturday after the Italy Under-21 international missed Udinese’s trip to Milan as he completed the formalities of a move to Tottenham. The left-sided player could feature in the familiar 3-5-2 formation, but Adam Masina scored at San Siro in his absence and will hope to start again.
Salernitana Team News
Salernitana has suffered a double blow this summer, with Ederson and Milan Djuric leaving the club. But Franck Ribery remains at the club, Erik Botheim scored 15 goals in the Eliteserien last season, and veteran winger Antonio Candreva offers width following his switch from Sampdoria.
Prediction and Odds
The visitors to the Stadio Città del Tricolore may have netted twice in their opener, but they will find it much tougher against a side that scored almost twice as many goals as Salernitana last season.
